Wake up with the king

Today was one of the funnest days I've had in a long time. As I'm sure everyone knew, today was Valentine's Day. Now most couples will either go out to a nice restaurant for a fancy dinner, or maybe just spend time at home together. Well, I decided to go a more entertaining route. Tonight I took Tanya to Medieval Times in Buena Park for dinner and a show. One of the best ideas I've had in a long time. Now slow the clock for a bit. You might be saying, "Wow. How romantic. You get to spend the most loving day of the year smelling poop and eating poor food." Well, you'd be damned wrong if you said that. To start off, I'm quite the romantic. If you're my girl, I take very good care of you. That being said, I gave the usual vase of flowers like most guys do. And of course the standard heart-shaped box of chocolates and a card. But I am a little more interesting than that. I stuffed the chocolate and the card, as well as a stuffed animal, into a huge birthday gift style bag. But I didn't just stuff it with boring tissue paper. Oh no. I stuffed it with 1500 lollipops, which are of course Tanya's favorite candy. And the card was a pre-made card, but I made some 'alterations' to it to fit us better. :)

And I have to say, she is quite the amazing girl. Most girls drown out conversations when guys talk about themselves. Not her. She listens to everything I say. Which is amazing because I think half the things I say don't even make sense. For Valentine's Day, I got a card and a mystery present from her. The card had some of the sweetest things anyone has ever written for me on it, and the mystery gift? My favorite candy: Reece's. In a jumbo-sized box of course. She is simply an amazing person. I'm so lucky to have a girl like her in my life. I wouldn't change today for anything.
