E.T. phone home

I had a talk today with one of the coolest people I know. I work with him and he is also a supervisor. His name? Eric Taylor. I go to him for all my advice. He is literally the only person I can really trust with everything I tell him. He doesn't spout off to anyone else, and is always willing to give an unbiased opinion. Recently I talked with him about my problem I was having. Luckily, he straightened it all out and put everything into perspective. He is one of the greatest friends I could ever have. I know a lot of you that work at Best Buy think he's too strict or sometimes too mean and whatnot, but honestly he's just doing his job. And that's all everyone should be doing. Eric, you're a great man and one of my heroes. Thank you sir.

Please sir, can I have some more?

Okay seriously. I'm up to here with management at Best Buy. As well as angry customers. As well as lazy coworkers. I'm pissed off. And we're not talking bathroom behaviors here either. I get bitch-slapped. We're not talking hoes not paying their pimps. We're not talking about a catfight between two rival women. We're talking open-palm nine-to-five here. I'm fed up with it. I am not everyone's little bitch. I don't mind covering a lunch or two. But three to four in one day is ridiculous. I didn't sign up for my position to be treated as a pawn. Just because you don't wanna pay your employees to work, don't expect me to fill in. I'm done with this shit. I'm supposed to be out there helping other employees when they get busy. Not the one who gets piles of customers just because supervisors create one-on-one coverage. I'm gonna have a little chat with my supervisor when I see her next. Either this shit stops, or I change departments. And if I do and they still ask me to help out other departments even though I won't be a Customer Assistant anymore, then I'll quit. Simple as that. If I wanted to be treated poorly, I would work at a circus cleaning up elephant poo. Really.

I am so confused

I don't know why. Yesterday I was thinking about it all day. I'm very confused about something. My friend told me something and ever since she did I've been questioning it. And so far I can't seem to come up with the reason why. And it's killing me. It shouldn't take this long to have a response, but so far it is. I wanna tell you guys what it is, but I can't. Damn. Friends can say the most truthful things sometimes. Really makes you wonder about things.

Everybody was kung-fu fighting

Tonight at my mom's house we played two board games. The first one was kinda fun. It was called "Red Dragon Inn". The point of this game is to try not to get too drunk. It takes place after an adventure with dwarves, elves, orcs, and clerics. What happens after the adventure is they all go to a bar to try to get drunk. I got knocked out after drinking dragon wine. Oh well.

Now the second game we played was a game called "Kung-Fu Fighting". This game was really fun. I destroyed my brother with a spinning kick. But my mom got revenge on me by doing a fast wild running up the wall magnificent tripping. It was pretty intense. I'm so excited for next Monday. Because I believe we are either playing a game called "Humans!!!", which is a spoof on a game called "Zombies!!!". It's either that or "Hannah Montana's Mall Adventure". Oh please god let it be "Humans!!!".

Wanna go on a date?

Just kidding. Today after work I took Tanya to the Date Festival. Unfortunately it was the very last day and of course the last few hours. But since I was under the weather all week, today was the last shot. I got off work at about 8:15 because I had to close computers. I guess Sylvestre called out and it was up to me and Alex to clean up their mess. I must say we kicked a lot of ass together. We might have even made budget. Who knows? Afterwards I brought Alex with me to pick up Tanya to go to the Date Festival, but I guess Alex left her phone in the bathroom. So we went back to Best Buy to get it back. And that was a trip well worth it because I got to see my best friend Rebeca who has been missing in action as of late. She has a lot of stuff going on what with school, work, and Abram. But as soon as everything slows down for her, I hope she'll find time to hang out again.

But yeah, we went to the Date Festival and Alex split after we got in the gate to hang out with family. Tanya and I went to ride the Ferris Wheel and ride the haunted mansion wannabe ride. It was pretty funny going up in the Ferris Wheel with her because this is the first time she learned about my fear of heights. That was a fun experience. But she was there for me. Then we walked around and I played two different games at their booths. And I won both times so Tanya received two more stuffed animals. She's gonna have quite the collection after awhile here. We went to the photo booth to get some pictures taken, but it was pretty funny that she didn't realize that you're supposed to do a funny face 4 different times. She has the same face every time. Aye chipotle. They turned out really cute though. Then some grilled corn for her mom as a gift and that was it. We watched Kill Bill at my place and that was the end of an action-packed day. She really is awesome. And a half.

I am Asneeze, father of Ahchoo -- bless you

Thank you. Wait -- what? Just a little Robin Hood: Men in Tights for you there. But yeah, I'm still sick. But I went into work anyways. I have to pay the bills and eat somehow right? I mean, I could always just go to Indio Blvd and sell my body, but I don't wanna get rich here. I would charge like $200 a pop and I would have $10,000 by the end of the night. Damn, I'm just too sexy for that kinda work. Oh well. Maybe I should just keep my day job.

Today was a decent day. I had a really busy day at work like always. I only got one break towards the end of the night, but even that was cut short by lack of staffing. The work I do is never over. Oh yeah! That reminds me. Last night, I had a dream I walked into my Best Buy but it had changed into like a Wal-Mart!!! Seriously, when you walked in there were clothing racks all over the place. We still sold tvs and stuff, but I had to walk through the khaki pants to get to them. I went up to a coworker and was like, "Hey. I've only been gone one day cuz I was sick. What did I miss?" I guess Best Buy wanted to compete more with Wal-Mart and Costco so we expanded into a multi-item store. It was scary. The good news is if I wanted to buy new work clothes, the pants were only an aisle away.

Don't breakdown, unless you're in the 21st century

You like punk rock? Well I sure do. And I must admit I was quite pleased after listening to the demo "21st Century Breakdown" for legendary punk band Green Day's new album coming May '09. The title has the same name. So far it sounds very American Idiot-ish which is fine by me. I really enjoyed that album. Then they came out with the Foxboro Hottubs side project, which was good, but definitely not Green Day. I am glad that they're coming out with a new album. I'm so excited. I just can't hide it. I'm about to lose control and I think I like it. ;)

I was sick today and had to call out from work. I felt bad for my coworkers I had to abandon, but even worse for my nose who got tortured today by all my sneezing and coughing. I hope this medicine shall cure me and allow me to go back to work tomorrow. Let's all pray for Brian. Okay, you don't have to. But that would be awesome.
